I've Been Nominated

The wonderful J. Kaye of J. Kaye's Book Blog has nominated me for my very first blog award.  This is such an honor because I have the utmost respect for J. Kaye as a book blogger.  Her blog has it all - great content, a great design.  Love her blog header image, the Currently Reading slider, the subtitle (Where reading takes priority!) - there's just a ton of good stuff there.

So, here is how it works.  Once an award is received, the rules are as follows:

1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you.
3. Nominate at least seven other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on your blog.
5. Leave a message for your nominee on their blog.

The Literate Housewife Review

I've been following this wonderful book blog for several months now.  At first it was the title that appealed to me, as a SAHM.  I also love the simple, easy-to-find-what-you're-looking-for design.  The Literate Housewife is full of great bookish information and I adore her reviews.

A Striped Armchair

This is one of the first book blogs I came across.  If I remember correctly, I linked here from The Book Devourer.  I enjoy the variety of posts on this book blog.  Eva writes about the books she's read, the challenges she's participating in and about events going on around the blogging community.  I love that she takes photos of her books.  I need to start doing more of that.

book-a-rama
I really like the design of Chris' blog, as well as the content.  That upside-down single pink blossom really appeals to my creative side.  Being a photography geek, I also enjoy the photos she posts.

Fyrefly's Book Blog
I've been following Fyrefly for a while now.  I love the design of her site.  I think it's a great idea to number your reviews and besides enjoying the reviews, I like the format:  how she notes when she read the book, how many pages, the genre, etc.

Out of the Blue
Alessandra and I keep running across each other at book contests - that must mean we have the same taste in books.  Anyway, that's how I found her book blog.  Again, there is a lot of variety here - book reviews, blogging events, etc.

Reviewer X
I found Steph's blog when she interviewed Lenore from Presenting Lenore.  I have enjoyed reading her interviews with book lovers who review books on their blogs.  Funny thing is, I was just thinking how fun it would be to do this, then a day or two later came across the Reviewer X blog.

Michele Only One 'L'
I've enjoyed reading Michele's reviews since I found her blog a couple of weeks ago.  We have pretty similar book tastes - many of the books she reviews are either ones I have read or want to read.  I think her reviews are very thoughtful and I'm looking forward to going back through her archives and reading more reviews, author interviews, etc.
